The policy covers the medical costs incurred during 30 days before hospitalization and 60 days after the patient has been discharged from hospital. The policy pays 1% of Sum Insured per day for Room, Lodging and treatment expenses, the sum of which is subject to a maximum amount of Rs 5000. The National Insurance Medicalim policy will pay 2% of the Sum Insured per day for I.C.U expenses, the sum of which is subject to maximum of Rs 10000.Apart from all these above mentioned, the National Insurance Mediclaim policy covers Day Care procedures such as chemotherapy, dialysis etc.
